Abstract:
This project aimed to develop an agreed protocol for approval and monitoring testing for foodborne pathogens in private laboratories. The project organised a number of all-island inter-laboratory proficiency testing trials, as well as the development of a database of Salmonella tests and the compilation of a collection of isolates. This database and collection has been extended to include other bacteria.
