Beans on toast

Perfect for a quick and easy lunch


Ingredients

  • 2 slices wholemeal bread
  • 120g / 5 oz. reduced salt and sugar baked beans
  • 10g / ½ oz. low fat spread

Method

  1. Place the bread in the toaster
  2. Whilst the bread is toasting warm the beans in a small bowl in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes or in a small saucepan over the hob for 3 to 4 minutes until hot
  3. Once your toast is done, spread over the low-fat spread. Then add the beans on top and serve

Serve with grilled mushrooms or tomatoes to add extra vegetables
