Mint sauce

This versatile recipe for mint sauce is great with Sunday lamb roast, yummy with chops and the perfect accompaniment for your peas!


Ingredients

  • 40g / 1½ oz. bunch of fresh mint
  • 4 tablespoons of hot water
  • 4 tablespoons of white wine vinegar
  • 1 level tablespoon of caster sugar

Method

  1. Take the mint leaves off the stalks and chop finely
  2. Place the mint into a Pyrex jug add the sugar and pour over the boiling water, stir and leave to cool
  3. Stir in the vinegar and taste

What you will need

  • Chopping board
  • Chopping knife
  • Measuring jug(for liquids)

Serving suggestions

Serve on the side with your lamb roast
