Barbecued fruit kebabs

This is a great way of using the barbeque to create a nutritious dessert. 


  • 1 large banana, thickly sliced
  • 175g / 6oz strawberries, halved
  • 200g / 7oz pineapple, cut into cubes
  • 1 peach, stoned and cut into wedges
  • 2 kiwi fruit, peeled and quartered
  • 75g mango


  1. Pre-heat a barbecue or griddle pan
  2. Thread the fruit onto 4 skewers
  3. Cook for 10 minutes on the barbecue or griddle pan, turning occasionally until the fruit starts to caramelise
  4. Serve the skewers immediately

  • Chopping board
  • Chopping knife
  • Grill

Serving suggestions

The skewers can be eaten without barbequing as fresh fruit contains many essential vitamins. Alternativley you can pick your families favourite fruit and enjoy.
