Red rooster smoothie

A delicious smoothie that is perfect for a hot summers day that also contributes to your 5-a-day!

About this recipe

Adapted from 101 Square Meals


  • 125g of fruit flavoured yoghurt (ideally strawberry, raspberry or cherry)
  • 200g of fresh or frozen summer berries (such as strawberries, raspberries or blackberries)
  • 150ml of cranberry juice
  • 1 banana


  1. If using frozen berries, boil them for 1 minute
  2. If using fresh berries, wash them under a running cold tap
  3. Peel the banana and roughly chop.
  4. Add all the ingredients in a bowl and puree with a liquidiser or hand blender.
  5. Pour into glasses and enjoy straight away.
