Witch's nails

These "witch's nails" are a great way to use the pumpkin seeds instead of throwing them away and you can also sprinkle them on pumpkin soup instead of croutons.

Ingredients

  • Pumpkin seeds, around 100g / 3½ oz.

Method

  1. After you’ve created your Jack-O-Lantern, or made your pumpkin soup, hold onto the seeds
  2. Rinse them and leave to soak in water overnight, or for around 8 hours
  3. Then drain off the water, dry and spread out on roasting tray and cook in a preheated oven 180°C / 350°F / Gas Mark 4, for 20 minutes

Toasted pumpkin seeds are also great sprinkled on breakfast cereal or in a salad
